Dermatologists And The Acai Berry Diet

By Dana Hawkes

Every now and then in the field of health science, a product comes along that has amazing effects in areas that have absolutely nothing to do with its original purpose. This is the case with the acai berry diet, which was mainly a diet that was created in the first place to help people lose weight. As more and more information has been uncovered about the acai diet however, the end result has been that there are many positive side effects to the diet that have absolutely nothing to do with weight loss.

One of those is the presence of healthier skin, something that has had many dermatologists raising their eyebrows in fascination. As weird as it might be, the acai berry seems to have a positive effect on skin. Some people that take it experience tighter and healthier skin that at the same time appears to have a shining sheen on it that makes the person look healthier all over the different parts of their body.

As some health professionals have suggested however, this might not be as strange as the first reaction might suggest. After all, there are many natural substances that have been known to help make skin look better. When a person goes to a spa, they end up getting natural treatments involving lotions and mixtures that usually have at least one or two fruits and/or vegetables in them. If these products can help with the skin, there is really no reason to believe that someone on the acai berry diet cannot get some benefit as well.

The presence of this extra potential for skin health has actually started some companies down the road of developing skin creams that consists the acai berry in them. While some salesmen will go so far as to claim that the acai diet in and of itself can help make your skin look better, the real answer will come when acai berry skin creams come out onto the market and are used by a number of different people.

Until then, the only thing that can be said about this potential link is that some people have reported that the acai berry diet has indeed had a good effect on their skin from their point of view.
