What is the Best Cellulite Treatment?

By The Willy Brothers

Choosing a treatment for cellulite can be a tricky matter. There are so many options that seem to promise wondrous results for little effort other than your hard-earned money. Creams, lotions, devices and exercise programs are all out there for women who wish to tackle this unsightly skin problem.

Both women and men will admit that they have some cellulite 'infected' area that is not there preferred spot. Cellulite causes an uneven distribution of the skin's fat, resulting in bumpy contours on hips, thighs, buttocks and belly. Other areas that can be affected are the face, neck, arms, upper legs and knees. The main factors that contribute towards cellulite are: age, physical condition, hormones, genetic predisposition and excess fat in the diet. A breaking in the fibrous tissues that are responsible for securing the fatty layer is the main cause of cellulite. The gaps in the fibrous layer are then filled with hardened bulgy fat.

Treating cellulite requires determination, given the fact that it not easily remedied and the numerous products that seem to be the solution experts. The temporary treatment for cellulite involves toning the skin to make the cellulite area less obvious, whereas permanent solutions seeks to tackle the problem from the inside out.

Creams and lotions are categorized as visual treatments. With their application, one's circulation is improved. This is an advantage, as poor circulation promotes the forming of excess fat, due to the body's inability to 'break-down' the excess fat layer under the skin. Once the circulation is improved, the body's ability to clean itself of toxic substances is also improved. There are creams that are available that even the external skin layer. The result of this is a 'supposed' even skin that does not bear the signs that are common with cellulite.

The same kind of effect that is produced from creams and lotions is also achieved from cellulite massagers. The massagers distribute the cellulite cells evenly and in turn they are eliminated by the body. It is believed that this process can be even more effective with enzymes and other natural and chemically manufactured products. With the difficulty associated with cellulite treatment, it may be necessary to add products to the massage process to help in eliminating toxins and other substances.

Liposuction is a alternative that is considered a drastic treatment for cellulite. The advantage of this procedure is that the fat is permanently eliminated with the connective tissues being broken down that in turn releases the fat that is stored within it. Performing liposuction has its negative sides, such as the surgery risks and the the fact that it is invasive, it is also worth mentioned that in some instances it can cause bruising and possibly delayed recovery. It is not considered the best treatment for cellulite even if changes are made in the surgical procedure to make it less invasive and with reduced side effects.
